Ayurveda & The State of You

Ayurveda is a medical science deeply focused on healing & maintaining the quality and longevity of life.

Health lies in the digestive system (Agni) – we not only digest food but also our emotions, senses, experiences.

Ayurveda is a holistic approach based on the belief that health can be achieved through a delicate balance of energy principles (Doshas) acknowledging connection amongst the mind, body and spirit.  Ayurvedic medicine upholds that our physical conditions reflect our mental conditions and vice versa.

We are all a reflection of our environments and can transform our personal health only through awareness.

Heal the body so you are free to evolve spiritually, able to fulfill all your potentials.

2 Principles:

-Preservation of health

-Regaining balance/return to health

STATE OF YOU MOMENT

  • When you bring the present into the body without judgement.
  • Your senses help guide you to be aware of yourself and the world around you. It is a moment to trust in your intuition, listen to what it is communicating to you and act in your best interest.
  • Begin forming routines that begin with a check-in:

– Self-care routines

– Work routines

– Home routines

What is coming up – recuring patterns? Is it physiological or emotional?

How to balance:

  • Vata – establish routines, slow down, when I relax so does my surrounding, need to focus on something (affirmation or mantra) during meditation, strength yoga, alternate nostril breath, warm foods, minimal raw, warming spices.
  • Pitta – focus on chilling out, practice mindfulness, self-care at the forefront, very hard to get to meditating but very deep appreciation once achieved, needs to be realistic, yoga is relaxing and opening, sitali breath, sweet mild spices, bitter and astringent food.
  • Kapha – move your bodies, practice forgiveness, try new things, brisk walking and cardio, meditate to be set free, yoga is dynamic and moving, fanning breath, bitter or well spiced food.

Set intention in your day – like a computer, the mind and body does what you enter

Allow your soul balance & space to be free!
